We raise funds simply by using art in its many forms. Whether it be through benefit concerts or art exhibitions, we host events that not only raise awareness, but also raise money to provide funds to build water wells across Africa. These wells are just like any other well; just a deep bore hole with piping so that the fresh water below can be pumped to the surface. It sounds simple enough, and that because it is. These wells will literally save millions of lives and leave an already hurting continent with one less thing to worry about.
Who We Are.
Artists4Africa is a non profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people across the continent of Africa. We give 100% of the money raised to direct project costs, funding wells that will provide healthy drinking water to the villages in which they are located.
There are nearly 300 million people in Africa who don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. This results in more water related deaths each year than the civil wars that have ravaged its continent over that last decade.
Its a problem that we cant quite wrap our heads around. Its hard for us to picture 300 million of anything much less humans. However, we cant let the number scare us. Its a problem that we do have a solution for, So we hope that you will help us and be apart of that solution.
